If you arrive in Dublin and have hours before you can check into your accommodation or check-out by late morning, but your flight might be in the evening. Then storing your luggage at the airport let you enjoy the time without dragging your bags around. It allows you to free from your heavy suitcases.
However, as the Dublin city is pretty far from the airport, you rarely need any storage facility inside the airport. You can always go to the city easily and store your luggage there. It would be less expensive than the airport. But you really need to store your luggage inside the airport then there are two options for you. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Storage Facility in Terminal 1
This luggage storage facility is in the Arrivals Hall near the airport information desk. It is easy to find and well-signposted. You should not have any difficulty finding it. The opening hours are from Monday to Sunday at 5 am to 9 pm. But the luggage storage facility is available 24/7.
Storage Facility in Terminal 2
The luggage storage service is in the Baggage Hall area on the ground floor. It is also clearly marked for easy location and accessible during airport operating hours.

Is it really worth it?
Airport luggage storage facilities are very secure. It gives you peace of mind that your belongings are safe. It allows you to explore without extra weight holding you back.
Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport have conveniently located baggage storage facilities right inside the airport. It makes incredibly easy for travelers to drop off or pick up their bags before or after their flights. Most of the time people who prioritize comfort, flexibility, and ease of movement are the ones who choose this option.
Security is another big deal at Dublin Airport. They have top-notch security measures in place for both carry-on and checked baggage. Items stored in their facility are closely monitored and secure for preventing access by unauthorized individuals.
And guess what? It’s popular enough that sometimes you need to act quickly or book in advance to secure your spot.
Tips and My Recommendations
If you have oversized luggage or special items like sports equipment or musical instruments, check if the facility can accommodate these.
To save time, consider booking and paying for your storage online before you arrive at the airport, especially for big items. But you can always store luggage on the spot if there is not busy.
Here is my recommendation to you: If you plan to be in Dublin for more than 24 hours. I would recommend not storing your luggage at the airport. Even if you don’t have a place to stay. You’ll find it cheaper to store your luggage in the city or elsewhere.
The only exception is if you have extremely valuable items that need secure storage. Then it’s worth considering the airport facilities and I would say- “go for it then.”
